Tahir Whitehead intercepted Teddy Bridgewater twice and Joique Bell put the game away with a 4th-quarter touchdown run as the Detroit Lions defeated the Minnesota Vikings, 17-3, at TCF Bank Stadium on the campus of the University of Minnesota.
With WR Calvin Johnson and RB Reggie Bush out with injuries, the Lions' defense came through again as Ezekiel Ansah lead the way with 2½ of the eight sacks. Vikings quarterback Bridgewater threw three interceptions in his second career start for the Vikings.

Lions new kicker Matt Prater went 1-for-3, but the one he made was a 52-yarder. The Lions (4-2) won at Minnesota for only the second time in their last 17 trips.
Next week, the Lions return home to Ford Field to host Drew Brees & the New Orleans Saints (2-3), who are coming off of a bye week. Game time is set for 1 pm.
