Tatar scores twice as Red Wings rally to beat Jets, 4-3
Tomas Tatar scored twice and added an assist as the Detroit Red Wings defeated the Winnipeg Jets 4-3. Justin Abdelkader had a goal & an assist for the Red Wings and Johan Franzen scored his sixth goal of the season.
With Jimmy Howard resting after the Wings' 5-0 victory over Columbus on Tuesday and Jonas Gustavsson out of action due to a dislocated shoulder, goaltender Petr Mrazek was called up to play his 12th career game - and first this season - and made 28 saves. Detroit played without center Pavel Datsyuk for a second straight game due to a groin injury.
The Red Wings will now head to the eastern part of Canada to continue their Original Six marathon as they go up against the Toronto Maple Leafs this Saturday night at 7 pm.
