Oakland dominates Albion; Iowa slips by Spartan women

Corey Petros scored 19 points and Kahlil Felder dished out a career-high 13 assists as the Oakland Golden Grizzlies rolled on to an 83-68 victory over the Albion Britons.

Petros was 8-of-8 from the floor and had four assists.  Jalen Hayes finished on 7-of-9 shooting on his way to 17 points along with five rebounds.  Dante Williams had 10 points and Collin Weaver contributed with nine points for Oakland.

The Golden Grizzlies (7-12, 2-2 HL) return to Horizon League action this Thursday night when they host Milwaukee at 7 pm.




Aerial Powers had 16 points and 11 rebounds for the Spartans, but it wasn't enough as Michigan State lost to the Iowa Hawkeyes in East Lansing, 52-20.

Sophomore forward Aerial Powers recorded her NCAA-leading 14th double-double of the season with 16 points and 11 rebounds.  Powers also tied a career-high with three blocks for the second game in a row and the fourth time of her career.

The Spartans' next stop will in Maryland to take on the Terrapins this Thursday night at 7 pm.
