Eastern men fall to Central while women prevail at Toledo
John Simons scored 15 points and Chris Fowler added 13 points to lead the Central Michigan Chippewas to a 65-51 win over the Eastern Michigan Eagles.
The Chippewas led by as many as 20 points in the 2nd half. The Eagles were led by Raven Lee, who scored 18 points and was the lone scorer to reach double figures.
Both teams will be back in action this Tuesday night when Eastern Michigan (12-7, 1-5 MAC) returns home to Ypsilanti to host Ohio while Central Michigan (14-3, 4-2 MAC) takes a trip to Kent State. Both games are set for 7 pm.

The Eastern Michigan Eagles earned their first win over the Toledo Rockets since the 2011-12 season with a 75-61 road victory at Savage Arena.
The Eagles shot 46% from the floor while tying a season-best with 10 three-pointers. Cha Sweeney and Sasha Dailey were the only Eagles to reach double-figures as they combined for 37 points. Sweeney led EMU with a season-high 23 points while Dailey added 14 points.
The Eagles' road swing continues as they travel to Kalamazoo to take on Western Michigan this Wednesday night at 7 pm.
