Red Wings end wild night in Dallas with 7-6 win in overtime
After just 36 seconds into overtime, Niklas Kronwall scored the game-winner as the Detroit Red Wings defeated the Dallas Stars 7-6 after overcoming a 6-4 deficit in the 3rd period.
Pavel Datsyuk & Jakub Kindl each had two goals while Justin Abdelkader & Gustav Nyquist each had a goal and an assist for the Red Wings. Goaltender Jimmy Howard was pulled from the game in the 3rd period after he gave up a season-high six goals, despite making 26 saves. Backup goalie Jonas Gustavsson filled in and made two saves to end the game.
Detroit will begin the west coast part of their six-game road trip this Monday night when they take on the Anaheim Ducks at 10 pm ET.
