MSU suffer tough loss in OT to Gophers; Horizon women fall
Carlos Morris made a tying 3-pointer while being fouled with 2.2 seconds left in regulation that led to the Minnesota Golden Gophers pulling off a big 96-90 overtime win over the Michigan State Spartans. Minnesota snapped a 15-game losing streak at Michigan State, winning in East Lansing for the first time since 1997.
Denzel Valentine led the Spartans with 27 points and Travis Trice contributed with 21 points & 10 assists.
Michigan State (19-9, 10-5 Big Ten) will attempt to bounce back this Sunday afternoon when they travel to Wisconsin to take on the 1st-place Badgers at 4 pm.
