GAME 6 - Chicago buries Milwaukee; Clippers force Game 7
Mike Dunleavy scored 20 points as the Chicago Bulls slaughtered the Milwaukee Bucks with a 120-66 victory to win their Eastern Conference quarterfinals, 4-2. The Bulls finished just four points shy of the NBA playoff record for largest margin of victory, set by Minnesota in a 133-75 win over St. Louis way back on March 19, 1956.
Pau Gasol scored 19 points, Jimmy Butler added 16 points, and Derrick Rose contributed with 15 points for the Bulls. All five Chicago starters finished in double figures.
The Bulls finally move on to the East semifinals to face the Cavaliers with Game 1 to be played this Monday night at 7 pm in Cleveland.
Blake Griffin had 26 points & 12 rebounds and Chris Paul finished the night with 19 points & 15 assists as the Los Angeles Clippers held on for a 102-96 victory over the San Antonio Spurs to force a Game 7 in their Western Conference quarterfinal series.
J.J. Redick added 19 points and DeAndre Jordan scored 15 points & 14 rebounds for the Clippers.
Game 7 is set for this Saturday night at 8 pm inside the Staples Center in Los Angeles. The winner moves on to face Houston in the West semifinals.
