Cleveland crushes Atlanta, 118-88, to sweep East Finals
Kyrie Irving, who missed the previous two games with tendinitis in his left knee, scored 16 points as the Cleveland Cavaliers swept their way into the NBA Finals with a dominating 118-88 victory over the Atlanta Hawks to become the 2015 Eastern Conference Champions.
J.R. Smith added 18 points and Tristan Thompson contributed with 16 points & 11 rebounds for the Cavaliers, who earned their second trip to the finals.
Cleveland will have a full week to rest before competing in Game 1 of the NBA Finals on Thursday, June 4th, where they will face either Golden State or Houston. Currently, the Warriors hold a 3-1 West Finals lead and will host Game 5 this Wednesday night.
