Tigers suffer another long night as Royals cruise, 12-1
Yordano Ventura struck out 11 over seven innings as the Kansas City Royals hit four homeruns to come away with a convincing 12-1 victory over the Detroit Tigers.
Randy Wolf (0-3) gave up eight runs in just 3 & 2/3 innings for Detroit. To make matters worse, Miguel Cabrera was ejected by third base umpire Gary Cederstrom in the 3rd inning after a quarrel with home plate umpire Quinn Wolcott.
The Tigers will conclude their three-game series with the Royals in Kansas City this Thursday night at 8 pm.
