Red Wings rally in the 3rd period to defeat Hurricanes, 4-3
Teemu Pulkkinen scored two goals in the 3rd period to help the Detroit Red Wings start the season 2-0 after getting past the Carolina Hurricanes, 4-3.
Detroit scored three goals in the 3rd period to erase a 2-1 deficit, with Pulkkinen tying it with 15:21 left and then adding the go-ahead goal with 13:24 remaining in the game. Henrik Zetterberg had an early goal and assisted on Justin Abdelkater's goal with 3:35 left to play.
The Red Wings will come back home to the Joe Louis Arena this Tuesday night to face the Tampa Bay Lightning at 7:30 pm.
