Broncos wipe out Ball State, 54-7, to become bowl eligible
The Western Michigan Broncos became bowl eligible for the second straight season with a 54-7 win over the Ball State Cardinals. The Broncos are one of two undefeated teams in the MAC, leading the West division with a 5-0 league record.
WMU quarterback Zach Terrell went 16-for-22 with 324 yards and three touchdowns as Western Michigan posted a school-record 711 yards of total offense, a mark which also ranks 7th most in the history of the MAC.
Next week will be the Broncos' final home game of the season as they host Bowling Green, who is 5-0 in the MAC East. The game is set for this Wednesday night at 8 pm inside Waldo Stadium at Kalamazoo.
