2nd period gets the best of Red Wings in loss to Bruins, 3-1
Patrice Bergeron scored the first of Boston's three 2nd-period goals that helped the Bruins to a 3-1 win over the Detroit Red Wings.
Goaltender Petr Mrazek made 28 saves and Justin Abdelkader scored a 3rd-period, powerplay goal for Detroit, who have lost their last five meetings with the Bruins.
The Red Wings will travel to Canada this Monday night to take on the Ottawa Senators at 7:30 pm.
