EMU women win in OT vs. NIU; Central prevails on the road

Behind double figure scoring from five players, the Eastern Michigan Eagles bounced back in overtime to earn an 87-80 victory over the Northern Illinois Huskies. NIU (8-6, 1-2 MAC) sank a three-pointer late in regulation to force OT, but EMU (11-2, 2-1 MAC) outscored the Huskies 16-9 on their way to their second MAC win of the season.
Junior Cha Sweeney led Eastern Michigan with 28 points while senior Chanise Baldwin came just short of a double-double with 17 points and eight rebounds.
The Eagles will head back home to Ypsilanti to host Ohio this Wednesday night at 7 pm.
