Oakland pounds Wright State; Norse top Titans on Haywood night

Kay Felder had 33 points, six assists, and five steals as the Oakland Golden Grizzlies led by double digits throughout the 2nd half to take out the Wright State Raiders, 89-63. Martez Walker added 19 points and Percy Gibson finished with 12 points for Oakland, who never trailed throughout the entire game. The Golden Grizzlies will start the month of February off with a visit to Northern Kentucky this Monday night at 7 pm.




In a game that featured 19 lead changes and 15 ties, the Northern Kentucky Norse made consecutive three-pointers in the 2nd half to defeat the Detroit Titans, 91-83. Prior to the game, UDM retired the jersey of all-time great & NBA Hall Of Famer Spencer Haywood, who is the sixth men's basketball player to have his jersey retired following Bob Calihan, Dave DeBusschere, John Long, Rashad Phillips and Terry Tyler. The Titans will be back in action at Calihan Hall this Sunday afternoon when they host Wright State at 1 pm.
