Short-handed Pistons fall to Denver, 103-92, on Billups' night
Will Barton scored 15 of his 20 points in the 4th quarter as the Denver Nuggets took advantage of the short-handed Detroit Pistons, 103-92. In the last game before the All-Star break for both teams, the Pistons retired Chauncey Billups' #1 jersey at halftime.
Detroit struggled without three of their starters: Kentavious Caldwell-Pope (core muscle strain), Reggie Jackson (sick), and Ersan Ilyasova (sick). Marcus Morris led the team with 19 points and Andre Drummond finished the night with 15 points & 17 rebounds.
Having lost six of their last eight games, the Pistons will send Drummond to Toronto for the All-Star break while the others will rest and resume action next Friday (February 19th) in Washington. Drummond will be a contestant in the Slam Dunk competition this Saturday night.
