Titans win 4th straight vs. UIC; Oakland falls short vs. Valpo
Detroit overcame an early 12-point deficit as senior Carlton Brundidge and sophomore Paris Bass each scored over 20 points to help the Titans win their fourth straight road game against the UIC Flames, 83-72. Bass posted a team-high 22 points & 11 rebounds for his fourth straight double-double, Brundidge had 21 points & a game-high seven assists, and senior Anton Wilson finished with 18 points for Detroit. The Titans will now head to Valparaiso take on the league-leading Crusaders this Sunday afternoon at 2:30 pm.
Alec Peters scored 12 of his 16 points in the 2nd half and finished with a career-high tying 14 rebounds to help the Valparaiso Crusaders hold off the Oakland Golden Grizzlies, 86-84, to secure at least a share of their fourth Horizon League regular season title in five seasons. Kay
Felder had 26 points, eight assists, and six rebounds for Oakland. The Golden Grizzlies will make a stop in Chicago to take on the UIC Flames this Sunday evening at 5 pm.
