Martinez & Cabrera save Tigers in 8th inning vs. Baltimore, 6-5
J.D. Martinez and Miguel Cabrera homered on consecutive pitches in the 8th inning as the Detroit Tigers rallied past the Orioles, 6-5, to end Baltimore's seven-game winning streak.
Detroit won despite stranding 11 runners and going 3-for-11 with runners in scoring position. They also won for just the second time in 13 games.
The Tigers will return home to Comerica Park in hopes of keeping the momentum going as they face Minnesota in a 3-game series, which starts this Monday night at 7 pm.
