Frustration continues as Tigers unable to solve Indians, 12-1
Yet again, the Cleveland Indians remained perfect in 11 games against the Detroit Tigers this season with a crushing 12-1 victory.
Detroit's starting pitcher Anibal Sanchez (5-9), who replaced the injured Jordan Zimmermann, allowed seven runs in 4 & 1/3 innings. To make matters worse, Miguel Cabrera was ejected in the 6th inning after grounding out. Cabrera, thinking the ball hit off his leg, never left the batter's box and was called out at first base, thus resulting in an ejection when the umpires didn't reverse the call.
The Tigers will try one more time to get a win against Cleveland this Wednesday at noon.
