Tigers mount comeback & hold off White Sox late, 8-4
JaCoby Jones had two hits and two RBIs in his major league debut, including a 6th-inning double, to help the Detroit Tigers earn an 8-4 victory over the Chicago White Sox.
J.D. Martinez hit a solo homerun in the 7th inning for Detroit and Bruce Rondon (5-2) picked up the win in relief of Daniel Norris, who allowed three runs in five innings.
The Tigers aim to sweep the 3-game series with the White Sox this Wednesday afternoon at 1 pm inside Comerica Park before heading off on the road for the next week.
