Lions grind out win to stay in 1st place vs. Jaguars, 26-19
Eric Ebron had a go-ahead, 1-yard touchdown run early in the 4th quarter to help the Detroit Lions defeat the Jacksonville Jaguars, 26-19. The win keeps the Lions in 1st place in the NFC North division.
Quarterback Matthew Stafford converted a 3rd-and-5 from the Jacksonville 36-yard line with a 7-yard pass to Theo Riddick with 2:18 left that helped set up Matt Prater's 43-yard field goal with 22 seconds left. Later, Tavon Wilson sealed the victory with an interception with 2 seconds left for Detroit (6-4), who have won five of their last six games, despite trailing in the 4th quarter of every game.
The Lions will remain home at Ford Field to host their annual Thanksgiving game against division rival Minnesota this Thursday afternoon at 12:30 pm.
