Both Michigan teams display dominance in the Crisler Center
Kicking off the doubleheader at the Crisler Center, the Michigan women used a 29-point 3rd quarter to help the Wolverines cruise past the Ohio Bobcats, 69-46.
Junior Katelynn Flaherty led Michigan with 25 points, senior Siera Thompson recorded her second career double-double with 10 points & a career-high 12 rebounds, and sophomore Hallie Thome finished with 13 points & four rebounds. U-M also grabbed 63 rebounds in the game, which is the third-best total in school history.
The Wolverines will remain home in Ann Arbor to host Vermont this Saturday at noon.
After the women took care of business with Ohio, the men set a new school record of 19 three-pointers to help the Michigan Wolverines earn a 44-point victory, 97-53, over the Central Arkansas Bears.
Michigan shot 52% from the field, including 42% from 3-point range. The 19 three-pointers as a team broke the previous record of 17 that was tied last season against Bryant nearly a year ago.
The Wolverines will stay at the Crisler Center as they get ready for Maryland-Eastern Shore this Saturday afternoon at 3 pm.
