Non-call leads to OT loss for Red Wings vs. Columbus, 3-2
Seth Jones took a drop pass from Brandon Dubinsky and blasted a high slap shot behind goalie Petr Mrazek 3:22 into overtime as the Columbus Blue Jackets defeated the Detroit Red Wings, 3-2.
Despite earning another crucial point in the standings, Detroit felt robbed in the end. Seconds before the game was over, Henrik Zetterberg made a move with the puck toward the Blue Jackets net, but his stick was snapped by a slash from Dubinsky. No penalty was called.
Looking to stay focused on the season, the Red Wings will begin a 3-game road trip, starting with a stop in Washington to take on the Capitals this Thursday night at 7 pm.
