The Pittsburgh Penguins needed just over three minutes at the start of the 3rd period to defeat the Nashville Predators, 4-1, to take a 2-0 lead in the 2017 Stanley Cup Finals.
The game was tied 1-1 to start the 3rd period when Jake Guentzel jumped on a rebound to put Pittsburgh ahead. His goal was one second shy of the fastest goal to start a period in Finals history.
