OKC takes 2-0 lead; Spurs & Lakers back on track at 1-1
A game after scoring a combined 72 points, Oklahoma City’s Kevin Durant (23 pts.) & Russell Westbrook (21 pts.) got plenty of help from the rest of the Thunder to build a commanding first half lead as they beat the Denver Nuggets, 106-89 to take a 2-0 series lead in the Western Conference quarterfinals.
Making his playoff debut after top-seeded San Antonio dropped Game 1 without him, Manu Ginobili scored 17 points and lifted the Spurs to a 93-87 win over the Memphis Grizzlies, evening the first round series at one.
Andrew Bynum had 17 points & 11 rebounds while Lamar Odom produced 16 points as the Los Angeles Lakers survived poor games from Ron Artest (15 pts.) & Kobe Bryant (11 pts.) to even their first round playoff series at one with an 87-78 victory over the New Orleans Hornets.
