With the sweep of the Twins and the White Sox losing to Cleveland, the Detroit Tigers move closer to the AL Central title with their magic number now at 7. It's projected that the Tigers will clinch the division by next weekend when they face the Athletics in Oakland. But for now, Detroit's attention is now turned to the White Sox, who are in a virtual tie for 2nd place with Cleveland. While the Tigers will keep their focus in Chicago, they'll keep an eye on the Indians, who will play the Rangers in Texas, starting Tuesday night.

AL EAST - After Boston lost to Tampa Bay, the N.Y. Yankees pulled out a big win against the L.A. Angels, bringing their magic number down to 14.

AL WEST - With the Angles losing to the Yankees, Texas took advantage & defeated Oakland to reduced their magic number down to 14.

AL WILD CARD - Boston's magic number stalls at 14 after losing bad to Tampa Bay, 9-1.

NL EAST - Both Philadelphia & Atlanta lost, therefore the Phillies' magic number goes down to only 6, but they are on the verge of being the first in the majors to clinch their division.

NL CENTRAL - With Milwaukee & St. Louis both winning, the Brewers' magic number is now at 10.

NL WEST - Arizona's magic number remains at 8 after losing to San Diego while San Francisco defeated the L.A. Dodgers.

NL WILD CARD - Atlanta's magic number is stuck at 12 after a 6-3 loss to St. Louis.
