Fever slip past Liberty; Seattle knocks down Phoenix
Indiana's Erin Phillips made a turnaround clutch shot jumper with 1.5 seconds left to give the Fever a 74-72 win over the New York Liberty. With a 1-0 lead in the best-of-three series, the Fever will head to Madison Square Garden for Game 2 this Saturday afternoon.
Tanisha Wright scored 21 points, and Camille Little had 17 points & 11 rebounds to lead the defending WNBA champion Seattle Storm over the Phoenix Mercury, 80-61 to take a 1-0 series lead in the opener of the Western Conference semifinals. Seattle looks to wrap up the series this Saturday night in Phoenix.
