Blackhawks' 3rd period goal knocks out Red Wings, 3-2
Brent Seabrook scored a goal to break a tie early in the third period as the Chicago Blackhawks defeated the Detroit Red Wings, 3-2. Marian Hossa scored and Jonathan Toews connected on a penalty shot for Chicago.
The Red Wings got goals from Justin Abdelkader and Todd Bertuzzi. RW Dan Cleary got his 200th assist on Abdelkader’s goal.
Detroit’s Pavel Datsyuk, Henrik Zetterberg and Johan Franzen—usually potent in games against Chicago—combined for only one shot.
