Comeback falls short as Red Wings lose to Toronto, 4-3
Joffrey Lupul continued his breakout season by taking advantage of a rare Red Wings turnover, collecting the puck behind the goal and outwaiting Jimmy Howard to save the Toronto Maple Leafs from a three-goal collapse with a 4-3 victory over the Detroit Red Wings.
Todd Bertuzzi, Niklas Kronwall and Jiri Hudler replied for Detroit (25-14-1).
The Red Wings quickly boarded a flight for Chicago, where they will face the Blackhawks in a big game this Sunday.
