Preseason rally falls short as Wings lose to Leafs in OT
The Red Wings rallied from a two-goal deficit, but ultimately couldn't overcome all the turnovers they made Friday, leaving them nursing a 4-3 overtime loss to their Original Six rival from Toronto.
Mike Komisarek took advantage of sloppy coverage to score in overtime at the Joe Louis Arena in the first game of home-and-home preseason dates against the Maple Leafs.
Johan Franzen pulled the Wings ahead 1:39 into the third period when he tapped in Henrik Zetterberg's pass, but Mike Brown replied with his second of the game just over a minute later, when he took a shot that hit goalie Jimmy Howard and then went underneath him.
