The Tigers pitching staff is very delicate, any particular injury brings youth up from the minor leagues. In this case Detroit's Adam Wilk did not last past the third inning and Seattle beat the Tigers 9-1. Right after the game Wilk was sent to Toledo and Righthander Bryan Villarreal was called up.

Detroit spots the Mariners a 6-nothing lead until the bottom of the third inning then Brennan Bosech hit a solo homer off of Seattle's starter Felix Hernandez.
