This homestand showed that the Tigers forced alot of the field and at the end losing 5-4 to the Mariners and now on the way to New York to face the Yankees in Yankee Stadium.

Detroit's Rick Porcello had troubles again in the first inning, giving up back to back singles starting off the game then gave up on a 2-2 pitch a three-run homer to Seattle's firstbaseman Justin Smoak. So hard to play catch up it seems like every game but the Tigers sure cameback down 4-1 in the sixth up came Miguel Cabrera and he connected on his 6th Homer of the season tying the game up at four after six innings.

Porcello did pitch real well later on until the eighth when he gave up the game winning RBI double to Chone Figgins and Dtroit could not bring any more offense together. Finishing 1-6 on this homestand shows that they have some things to work on and being on the road could be positive for this team right now.
