Tigers and the rain did not mix losing a weather shorten game stopped after over a two hour delay in the top of the sixth inning 4-1.

Detroit led 1-0 on a bases load walk from Boston's starter Josh Beckett. Justin Verlander did not hold the lead when the Red Sox scored four in the fourth inning. The rain started at 9:32pm and lasted over two hours and the umpires had to call the game with the Tigers having the bases loaded and one out.
