Rick Porcello recorded his first win of the season today going 6 1/3 innings, giving up just three runs on five hits and two walks. Jhonny Peralta and Omar Infante both crushed two-run homers, and Miguel Cabrera drove in two runs to power the Detroit offense past the Braves 7-4. Atlanta pitching has struggled thus far against some hot Tiger bats this weekend. Kris Medlan was befuddled, surrendering five runs on 10 hits with only three strike-outs in his 5 1/3 innings of work. The only bright spot offensively for the Braves today was Justin Upton's solo home run in the eighth giving him his second RBI on the day, and the Braves fourth and final run. The Tigers will try to sweep the series Sunday night when they send RHP Doug Fister (3-0, 2.00)
to the mound to face LHP Mike Minor (3-1, 1.80) for a 8:06 start.
