Doug Fister pitched seven strong innings for the Tigers Tuesday night at Comerica Park, striking out seven, and allowing only two runs. Detroit fell behind early when Houston scored two in the second inning. Detroit would come roaring back. The Tigers scored three runs in the fifth, two in the sixth, and one more in the seventh off of a long bomb home run from Miguel Cabrera, his eighth of the year to go up 6-2. Joaquin Benoit struck out two in the eighth, and Jose Valverde closed out the ninth with two strike outs in a non-save situation.
