Bruins beat down Pittsburgh, 6-1, to lead East Finals, 2-0
Brad Marchand scored twice during a four-goal 1st period as the Boston Bruins routed the Pittsburgh Penguins, 6-1, in Game 2 of the Eastern Conference Finals to take a 2-0 lead in the best-of-seven series.
David Krejci, Nathan Horton, Patrice Bergeron, and Johnny Boychuk also scored for Boston while goaltender Tuukka Rask stopped 26 shots. Pittsburgh's top-ranked powerplay went 0-for-2 and the Penguins were never in it after the Bruins scored three times in 17 minutes to chase away Tomas Vokoun.
Both teams will now travel to Boston for Game 3 this Wednesday night at 8 pm.
