Prince Fielder had three RBI's and the tigers beat the Indians 6-4. Fielder had a bases clearing double apart of a four run second inning. Detroit lead as much as 6-1 after three innings.
Rick Porcello pitched six innings allowing two runs and three hits. Porcello (3-3) allowed a run in the first then retired two straight batters.
Phil Coke was brillant in relieve stopping a rally that Cleveland had, Jose Valverde received his eighth save of the season.
Tigers play the Indians on Sunday, Jose Alvarez starts for Detroit in a spot start for Anibal Sanchez who will miss his start because of a stiff shoulder. Game Time 1:08pm
