Brayan Pena had three hits included a two homer in the second inning but Detroit loses to the Indians in ten innings 4-3. Rick Porcello pitched six innings allowing two runs and four hits striking out six. Omar Infante had a sacrafice fly in the fourth inning towards a Detroit 3-2 lead.
In the ninth inning Jose Valverde could not save the game with two walked and a game tying single by Michael Brantley tying the game at three.
Darrin Downs (0-1) took the loss in the tenth giving up a run and two hits.
