Prince Fielder hit his 18th homer and the Tigers beat the Royals 4-1. Fielder connects on a two run shot
in the first inning off of Kansas City's starter Jeremy Guthrie.
Anibal Sanchez (11-7) again pitching very well allowing seven hits into the eighth inning. Joaquín Benoit
pitched a scoreless ninth inning for his 16th save.
Miguel Cabrera 1-4 and had his 115th RBI, Andy Dirks also had four hits.
Detroit has a day night doubleheader against the Royals on Friday, Game One at 1:05pm
