Tigers inch closer to Central title with 6-2 win over Seattle
Thanks to Jose Iglesias' speed and Miguel Cabrera's first homerun in three weeks in the 7th inning, the Detroit Tigers achieved a 6-2 win over the Seattle Mariners to bring them closer to their third straight American League Central Division title.
However, due to Cleveland defeating Kansas City, 5-3, the Tigers' magic number reduced to only 6 in the AL Central. If Detroit continues at this pace, it's projected that they will clinch the division by the end of the weekend.
The Tigers' quest for the postseason continues this Wednesday night when they play Seattle at Comerica Park at 7 pm.
