Michigan hand EMU women first loss of season, 89-75
The Michigan Wolverines used 11 straight points from sophomore guard Madison Ristovski to take control of the contest to help knock off in-state rival Eastern Michigan, 89-75, to give the Eagles their first loss the season.
Ristovski scored a game-high 23 points on 8-of-16 shooting, including three 3-pointers, 4-for-4 from the free-throw line, and seven assists. Junior forward Cyesha Goree and junior guard Nicole Elmblad each had double-doubles for the Wolverines. Goree had a career-high 21 points to go along with 11 rebounds, while Elmblad had 13 points & 11 rebounds. Michigan's fourth double-digit scorer was freshman guard Siera Thompson, who finished the night with 15 points and was a perfect 3-for-3 from three-point range.
