Jimmy Howard and Jonas Gustavsson combined for a shutout leading Detroit to a 2-0 win over Vancouver.
Justin Abdelkader scored the only goals in the game, first in the second period and in the third on a empty net goal.
The last time this happened was in October 27th, 2001 where Dominik Hasek and Manny Legace combined on a shutout.
Howard made 16 saves in two periods of work.
