Franzen's hat trick led the Red Wings to a 6-1 win against Ottawa
Johan Franzen scored three goals and the Wings beat the Senators 6-1. Detroit scored four in the first with Franzen scored two of them and capped off the hat trick early in the second period with his 12th of the season.
Jonas Gustavsson had 37 saves playing for Jimmy Howard who had the night off after back to back games. Tomas Jurco, Tomas Tatar and Riley Sheahan the other goal scorers for the Red Wings.
Red Wings play at New Jersey against the Devils on Tuesday Night.
