Helm scores twice to help Red Wings defeat Dallas, 5-2
The Detroit Red Wings scored three goals in the 1st period to come away with a 5-2 home victory over the Dallas Stars. The Red Wings have scored at least four goals in 14 games this season, including seven goals of the past nine games.
Darren Helm scored the first and last goal of the game, Kyle Quincey got his first goal of the season, Stephen Weiss & Pavel Datsyuk also scored for the Red Wings, and goaltender Jimmy Howard made 22 saves.
Detroit's next opponent will be another Original Six matchup against the New York Rangers this Saturday night at 7 pm inside the Joe Louis Arena.
