Shootout plagues Red Wings again in loss to Toronto, 2-1
Mike Santorelli scored Toronto's second goal in the shootout as the Maple Leafs defeated the Detroit Red Wings, 2-1. Tyler Bozak also scored in the shootout for Toronto while Pavel Datsyuk netted the lone goal for the Red Wings in the tiebreaker.
Detroit's Gustav Nyquist scored the lone goal in regulation while goaltender Jimmy Howard made 18 saves. Even after being a target throughout the night, Toronto's James Reimer made 41 saves.
The Red Wings' next game will be this Friday night at the Joe Louis Arena when they take on the Florida Panthers at 7:30 pm.
