Men and women suffer bad day of basketball
Ron Baker scores 19 points and Darius Carter added 18 points & 11 rebounds as the Wichita State Shockers went on a decisive 15-3 run in the final minutes to defeat the Detroit Titans, 77-68. UDM had a 10-point lead in the 2nd half before Wichita State rallied.
Juwan Howard Jr. scored 27 points for Detroit (6-4), who will hit the road for the next three games, starting with this Wednesday night when they travel to Orlando to face Central Florida at 7:30 pm.
The Arizona Wildcats welcomed Michigan to Tucson and remained undefeated by destroying the Wolverines, 80-53. Arizona (10-0) held Michigan without a field goal for a long stretch of the 1st half.
Zak Irvin led Michigan with 14 points, but the 1st half was rough on the Wolverines as they went more than 7 minutes without a field goal and shot 7-of-22. U-M will host SMU next Saturday (12/20) at 12 pm in Ann Arbor while Arizona's next game will be at home this Tuesday night against Oakland at 9 pm ET.
