Zidlicky makes Red Wing debut with OT winner vs. Rangers, 2-1
Marek Zidlicky, making his Red Wing debut since being acquired from New Jersey, scored a powerplay goal 1:09 into overtime to give Detroit a 2-1 victory over the New York Rangers.
Justin Abdelkader also scored, Henrik Zetterberg added two assists, and goaltender Jimmy Howard was battled-tested after making 39 saves for Detroit.
The Red Wings will be back in action at the Joe Louis Arena this Friday night against Calgary at 7:30 pm.
