Tigers kick off 2015 season with 4-0 shutout win over Twins
Detroit's starting pitcher David Price came within one out as the Tigers began the 2015 regular season with a 4-0 shutout victory over the Minnesota Twins. Price retired the first 13 batters he faced and allowed just five hits before being pulled with two on and two out in the 9th inning.
J.D. Martinez & Alex Avila homered off Minnesota's pitcher Phil Hughes and Yoenis Cespedes doubled, tripled, & scored twice in his Detroit debut. Cespedes also reached above the wall in left field to catch Kurt Suzuki's drive in the 3rd inning.
The Tigers will be back on the field at Comerica Park this Wednesday afternoon against Minnesota at 1 pm.
