Upton's homerun helps Tigers shutout Twins, 1-0
Starting pitcher Matt Boyd allowed just three hits in six innings as the Detroit Tigers shutout the Minnesota Twins at Comerica Park, 1-0.
Justin Upton hit a homerun in the 2nd inning for Detroit, who came out of the weekend, taking 2 out of 3 games from Kansas City.
With Cleveland losing to the Royals, the Tigers are now 5 & 1/2 games out of 1st place in the Central Division and will look to improve in the standings against Minnesota this Tuesday night at 7 pm.
