'Stars' shine as Tigers snap losing streak vs. Indians, 4-1
Sporting the throwback Detroit Stars uniforms, Victor Martinez took advantage of Cleveland pitching around Miguel Cabrera by driving in three runs to help starting pitcher Alfredo Simon & the Detroit Tigers defeat the Indians, 4-1, to snap their four-game losing streak.
Cabrera drew four walks in a game for the first time in his career with three of them being intentional. Earlier this season, the two-time AL MVP went 11-for-14 with six RBIs at Cleveland.
The Tigers will wrap up their three-game weekend series with Cleveland at Comerica Park this Sunday afternoon at 1 pm.
