Tigers unable to complete weekend sweep as Cards win, 2-1

Kolten Wong hit a tiebreaking homerun in the 6th inning and starting pitcher Lance Lynn got his fifth career RBI as the St. Louis Cardinals defeated the Detroit Tigers, 2-1, to prevent a three-game weekend sweep.

Miguel Cabrera's RBI double in the 1st inning was the only run that scored against Lynn, who is now 3-3 on the season.

The Tigers will return home and stay at Comerica Park all week long as they prepare to start a new three-game series against Milwaukee. The first game is set for this Monday night at 7 pm.
